Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about RF Microneedling.

RF microneedling treats fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, uneven texture, and mild laxity. Many clients notice improved texture and slight tightening within one to three weeks, with progressive collagen remodeling over several months and optimal results after a series.

We apply topical numbing prior to treatment to minimize discomfort; most clients report mild pressure or heat. Expect redness and pinpoint bleeding for 1-3 days, with visible recovery in three to seven days depending on treatment intensity and area.

Most patients achieve significant improvement with a series of three to four treatments spaced four to six weeks apart. Deeper scarring or laxity may require additional sessions and maintenance annually; your clinician will customize a plan based on skin concerns and response.

Most adults with mild to moderate skin laxity, acne scarring, uneven texture, or enlarged pores are excellent candidates. Not recommended for active infection, open wounds, pregnancy, certain electrical implants, or recent isotretinoin use. A consultation confirms suitability and plan.

Before treatment avoid retinoids, aggressive exfoliation, sunburn, and blood-thinning medications as advised. Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, hydrating serums, strict daily sunscreen, and avoiding strenuous exercise, heat exposure, or makeup for 24-72 hours. Follow your clinician's post-care instructions.

Common temporary effects include redness, swelling, pinpoint bleeding, and mild discomfort that resolve within days. Rare risks include infection, prolonged redness, scarring, or hyperpigmentation—higher with darker skin types. Proper technique, screening, and aftercare minimize complications; discuss concerns during consultation.
